The Blogging Parson: Creation 1: Where were you?

Great to focus on the majesty of God's work and His closeness to us. Important to remember our true place in relation to God "Where were you?". However Michael seems to be unduly influenced by the secularist view of the cosmos - "the cosmos is far, far older than we ever imagined". What we imagined is irrelevant. What God has revealed is what matters, and it is certainly not billions of years. (Light-years is a measure of DISTANCE not of time). When it comes to dominion over the animals, we better keep in mind the effects of sin and the curse, otherwise we might get eaten. Did Michael fall for the old behemoth = hippopotamus thing? Try dinosaur. Taken to their logical conclusion, these concessions to evolutionary philosophy lead to a complete breakdown of biblical truth. They reverse our understanding of Good (as in the original creation), death, sin and consequently of the gospel.
